As basketball fans know, Phil Jackson is considered one of the greatest coaches to ever coach. Now the once upon a time coach is now the president of the New York Knicks. Coaching the 95-96 Chicago Bulls to a 72-10 season followed by a championship and then going on to coach the Lakers up until 2004.

Throughout the interview, you hear him talk about the many different adversities that Rose faced in the early season. Phil Jackson seems as if he knows what he is doing as the Knicks president. Combining a premier point guard in Derrick Rose to play alongside Melo, and Porzingis seems like a good fit for fans everywhere.

Who else is Jackson going after in free agency? During an interview, Derrick Rose explained his most recent move to the Knicks in which he seemed happy about. In an interview posted by MSG Networks, you could hear Rose explain that he wants his long term Chicago teammate Joakim Noah to join him.

There is no doubt that Phil Jackson is making moves to help the Knicks become a premier team. This is the time of the year when players decide to opt out of their contracts. With the addition of Derrick Rose together with Carmelo Anthony the Knicks could be a threat in the east.

Phil Jackson believes that with the likes of Derrick Rose he could help bring Kevin Durant in as well. If things go as planned for the Knicks, could there be a possible championship coming to New York?
