Rainbow six: Siege Review

The game overall feels great, and looks great.  Obviously, the game looks the best on PC, while XBOX ONE and PS4 players won’t be disappointed either with gorgeous visuals.  But for the best overall graphics and experience, I’d definitely have to recommend this one on a high powered PC if you have it.  If not, you’ll still find this a nice distraction from your typical Halo or Call of Duty game on PS4, as it brings to life real strategy and teamwork, more so than your typical FPS.  Want a thinking man’s FPS?  One that makes you socialize, and strategize with people?  Look no further friends… this game is right up your ally.  If however, you are wanting a more arcade style experience?  Well, they’ve always got Halo for that.

This game really could be the next Counter Strike killer, and I’ve been turned into a believer.

Graphics: (PC) 10/10 (PS4) 8/10 (XBOX ONE) 8/10

Beautifully rendered HD visuals on your PC is the absolute best way to have a go at this game.  It’ll blow your mind.  The PlayStation 4 and XBOX ONE graphics are also a nice touch, but you can definitely see a difference when comparing it to a GTX 980 graphics card.

Sound and Presentation: 10/10 (All platforms)

Rarely does a first person shooter make my hair stand on end.  This one has managed to do just that.  The sound is gorgeous, and if you’re wearing a decent headset (I prefer an Astro headset) you’ll not be let down.  The sound is definitely part of the strategy and plays a HUGE part of this game.  Very nicely done and designed, and the music score isn’t bad either.  You’ll feel like you’re in the middle of an actual crisis.

Gameplay: (All platforms) 10/10

This game definitely has me hooked.  I’ll sit down, and to me what feels like 30 minutes has turned into 2 hours.  This game will have you hooked, and with an overall excellent online gaming community, you can rest assured that you too will fall in love with it.  This game has that addictive hook that will get you coming back for more, and more, and more, and more and more and more and more and mo…. Ok. You get the idea.

Final Thoughts:

If you’re looking for a game that gives you the competitive nature of Counter Strike or Call of Duty, but one that requires you to socialize, this game is for you.  And as someone who has played several FPS games online lately where hardly anyone communicates anymore, this game is a very welcome addition to my library, and I think it’ll be a great one for yours too.
