Slickster: Dancing is obviously a huge part of who you are and what defines you.   How long have you been a ballet dancer and what have you learned from it?
Michelle Chrystal:  I’ve been dancing since the age of 3, starting with Ballet and later branching out into Contemporary and Spanish. Dancing has taught me how to completely lose myself and find myself at the same time. It also confirmed that with hard work, dedication and passion, you will achieve more than you could ever have imagined.
Slickster: Do you have any advice for young artists or athletes who want to be successful in their field?
Michelle Chrystal: Don’t get caught up in the stigma that accompanies dancers. Compete to be the best version of yourself, and remember that you all share the same common goal. Don’t waste your time on jealousy – sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind. The race is long, but in the end it’s only against yourself.
Slickster: Can any girl become a ballet dancer, regardless of her body shape or size?
Michelle Chrystal: Yes, anyone can dance. Looking after yourself physically, mentally and emotionally is particularly vital in the dance industry, but it’s about doing it the right way. Eat healthily, train hard, but allow yourself some breathing room to relax, and eat the chocolate you’ve been craving! Enjoy your body. Don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it – it’s the greatest instrument you will ever own.
Slickster: You love the beach.  Why are you drawn to sun, sand and bikinis?
Michelle Chrystal: I love the outdoors, who doesn’t?
Slickster: Do you have any advice for men who may be intimidated to ask a woman out in these strange online times we live in?
Michelle Chrystal: Times have definitely changed, but the way women want a man to treat her hasn’t. Ask her out, plan the date, and open your car door for her. Never underestimate the power of chivalry.
Slickster:  Is it ok to remain friends with your EX on Facebook?
Michelle Chrystal: Staying friends with your ex after you’ve broken up, is like kidnappers asking to “keep in touch” after they let you go…
Slickster: Blank slate… anything goes!  What message do you want to share with the world.
Michelle Chrystal: Life is too short to be anything but HAPPY!
